The Environment & Animal Society of Taiwan (EAST) is a registered non-profit, non-government organization based in Taipei. We seek to solve the most neglected issues and believe that effective change happens at the systematic and institutional level. Since our founding in 1999, we have successfully advocated for ground-breaking changes which touch the lives of millions of animals each year. Our work includes research & investigations, policy advocacy, corporate engagement, industry engagement and public awareness.
Our mission is to reshape the relationship between humans, animals, and the environment by conducting thorough research and investigations that shine a light on mistreatment, cruelty and injustice. Through our efforts, we aim to raise awareness, advocate for systemic and institutional change, and create a world where animals are treated with compassion, dignity, and respect.

台灣動物社會研究會是一個非營利、非政府的民間組織，成立於1999年，以推動「人與動物、環境和諧互動」為宗旨。我們的行動策略是立基於長期且深入的研究、調查與分析，並結合國內外相關專業組織的力量，從公眾意識和輿論、政策施壓、立法遊說、教育推廣等各方面，逐步促進人們意識、行為及公共政策的改變共創「人與動。今(111)年6月27日，有遊客參觀大義宮時發現2隻綠蠵龜暴斃死亡，接著7月6日又有一隻玳瑁慘死，解剖後竟發現體內有多達967顆卵，約莫是五窩的蛋量。
